On the rooftop of Clubhouse I in Leisure World, MD, where I went swimming with my grandparents, there is a set of loudspeakers which is connected to a Maas-Rowe Digital Carillon Player. This particular system does hourly and half and hour Westminster chimes. It works by using solenoid-powered hammers to strike a set of chime rods that are amplified in the same manner as an electric guitar and then blasted out the loudspeakers. This is the system striking noon.
